That will depend on the preference of your provider/agency sending you for testing. We do not decide whether the test is observed or unobserved. Please check with your provider/agency before you come, so you will know what to expect.

If the test is observed, please know that our Client Care Assistants are trained healthcare professionals dedicated to supporting our patients with respect and compassion. It is the policy of Aspenti Health to provide a Client Care Assistant of the same gender that a patient identifies him or herself to be.

Yes. Your medical provider will authorize the specific testing needed by providing TPP (Treatment Plan Profile) paperwork. The TPP will be sent to us by your medical provider prior to your appointment.

Before you come, please ensure that your medical provider has authorized this testing. In order to serve you, we will need the TPP (Treatment Plan Profile) from your provider.

It will vary by each Patient Service Center and hours of each site can be found on our drug testing resources page or by calling 888-378-4645 or 802-863-4105.

The Color Line is a system of random urine testing to help patients and medical providers know what days collections will be performed.

The 5-day Color Line phone number is: 855-336-1208
The 6-day Color Line phone number is: 844-312-3368
The 7-day Color Line phone number is: 844-313-9068

The color selection system is randomized and is not a set day each week. This is why it is so important to call the color line phone number or to check the color line website each day to see if your color has been selected.

The 5-day Color Line website is: www.mycolorline.com

The 7-day Color Line website is: www.colorline7.com

Results

Once your specimen has reached our lab, results for screens (either a positive or negative result) are typically available within 24 hours. Results for confirmation testing, a more advanced test able to determine the quantity of each drug present, are available within 2-3 days.

Yes. By signing the requisition for each collection, you are able to receive your results. However, some medical providers/agencies do require a waiting period before results can be released. Please check with your medical provider/agency so you will know when you can expect to receive the results.

First, we will need proof of identity before releasing any information. This is to ensure the confidentiality of our patients. Once identity is confirmed, we can provide you with your results by email, fax or regular mail. You can also receive a paper copy from your Client Care Assistant. For privacy reasons, we cannot, unfortunately, provide test results to you over the phone.

Due to privacy regulations HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996), lab personnel are prohibited from discussing results over the phone. Results of the tests are available through your medical provider or they can be requested through the Patient Service Center as outlined above. Aspenti personnel can not discuss testing results with the patients, only with the patient’s medical provider.

A screening test is designed to be qualitative, that is, the result is given as positive or negative. A confirmation test is usually performed using techniques that allow each substance to be uniquely identified and in a quantitative manner.
